Amazing staff and food! Ordered through TOAST/Google and everything was 100% on point! Extremely easy to get to and friendly staff! Brought my food home and it was still steaming hot! I say if you are questioning it, give them a try!
Our server was so nice, and we usually have good luck at little diners like this, so I was disappointed that the food was not that great. The tea was not sweet. Baked potato was not cooked through. Pork chop was tough, I could barely cut/chew it. The fish and shrimp was good, but pricey for the amount. Their cocktail sauce was awful, maybe old?
Gotta say this is the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. My order was ready in under ten minutes.
What I was really impressed with was the wonderful customer service provided by the waitress. She was a tall attractive red head. I thought she owned the restaurant because she was so efficient. She made the experience very pleasant.
I hope to return when I’m back in this area.
I’m sorry for not getting a good picture of the food. It was so good that I scarfed it down without getting my phone out!
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, and after a long hard day of digging holes in the hot sun, I didn’t know if this was the meal stop for me or not. I’m so glad I did.
Bar-none the best pork chop I’ve ever had!!! The cornbread was sweet and on point, the Mac-n-cheese was delicious too. This place has a vibe (not the typical kind but good). The owners were nice and friendly and so was the waiter. Plus the price was fantastic.
If you are anywhere close to this place “STOP AND EAT!” And the waiter mentioned the fried chicken was better. What!?! I will be back!
If you miss the comforting casualness of a small town breakfast diner, this is your place. The pancakes are delicious, as was my omelette. The sausage (pan sausage, not links) was outstanding. The greens were kale on the day we went and cooked with some wonderful fat pork.
We had a late Saturday morning breakfast. The price was quite reasonable, the servers, cashier, and cook personable for prompt.
In October 2023, we had a family meal here and it was out of this world amazing! Unfortunately, in the past 4 trips, 2 meals have resulted in illness. The food used to be so good and we tried to give it another try but unfortunately with each visit the food got worse and worse. Today the pancakes were so tough you could barely chew them. The grits were clumpy and cold and the corn beef hash was burnt. I'm not sure if the new ownership made the difference, but it is very disappointing as this used to be a go to spot for a good home-cooked style meal. I hope this isn't the new standard.
Our food was awful. Sausage was gray and tasted old. Waffle was not cooked enough and looked like they sliced 1 strawberry for topping. Had to ask for whipped cream. They took it back and piled it on which made the waffle soggy. I couldn't eat it. Sausage gravy was not good either. Ice tea tasted old. My husband paid over 20. I wanted to complain but he hates confrontation so he told me to zip it. Lol. w
We won't be back.
Nice little side of the road diner. Our waitress was really great and even brought some rolls for our kids to have during what was a really long wait for our food (French toast with bacon, kids chicken tender, a salad, and a kid pancake.) They seemed to have only one person in the kitchen and she seemed a bit overwhelmed making the food for us and the other two tables there. Food was ok, but not worth the wait.
